immortal beloved - cate tiernan

The plot of Immortal Beloved develops when the protagonist Nastasya, an immortal who has more than 400 years, hung out with some friends - also immortal - the streets of London. After leaving a ballad, Nasty and his friends take a London taxi apparently tranquil. But when they start with a few jokes, the cabbie rebels and sends them out of the car. Furious, Incy -'s best friend Nasty - breaking the spine of the cabbie with no remorse using magick.

Frightened by the way Incy and the unknown power of magick all have immortal, immortal to begin to realize that it does not want to and that she needs help. That way she will stop at the home of River, an immortal intelligent enough that Nasty met decades ago and has a home rehabilitation only immortal in Boston.

This rehabilitation will stop Nasty is on a huge farm tended by twelve immortal. On the spot, she'll have to take your life in a different way as led in London with friends. That is, no partying, clubbing and drinking endless. Besides helping with chores on the farm, she will have to reflect on their immortality and help another eight companions with similar problems. Gradually Nasty gets to know the power of magick and how they should use it. And there is also that it discovers many things that marked his life, its origins and its immense powers and even strangers.

Of course a fantasy book and even more turned to the young audience could not fail to have a good novel. Unlike other fantastic books, the novel Immortal Beloved, though predictable, was well worked. Reyn - according to the words of Nasty - can be defined as a Viking God. (Thought forced too? Best to read the book after speaking something.) But even with all this super side surrounding the girl only lives at war with him. Extremely quiet, Reyn has everything to be the good guy always dreamed that several readers. But what is he condemns his past. I can only say that the novel created by the author and was very well explored different than imagined.

As the first of a trilogy, the book had its most introductory on the history. But the cool thing is that was not without suspense, romance, friendship, fear amid the plot.
