The term K-Pop (Korean Pop) emerged in the '90s and is the meaning, in English, for the songs that come from South Korea, specifically. Since North Korea does not have much pop music of that culture. And if you think those songs are ancient Eastern traditions, is slightly wrong! The K-Pop has a mixture of various rhythms such as R & B, Rock and Pop Bubblegum (mixture of pop and soul, as were the Jackson 5).
It mostly consists of dance songs, clips full of choreography and visual artists with an overproduced. It is strange to see how they seem the embodiment of the popular anime (cartoon): hair color, men effeminate faces, full of clothes for what it ... But anyway, here in Brazil the guys really like!

9. SHINee
